Honestly, though, I think it's more likely that a Changeling tried to stroll into town in Pinkie's form on that day, got to the city gates, saw the swarm of Pinkies, and then turned right back around and left town.

Eh, I might have missed some of that. Maybe there was a timeframe thing? I dunno. The last scene definitely spoke to it, though.

Yeah. I imagine that if a Changeling came by to try that on that particular day, his first thought would be hat a whole bunch of other Changelings already beat him to the gold-mine.

And really, I'm glad that the lessons from that episode carried over to this recent one. She recognized that RD just needed some me time and did her best not to bother her.

Honestly there were a lot of little cues from Twi suggesting she figured out who the real Pinkie was and was just stringing everypony along so the clones couldn't adapt.

Actually it might have been easier to find out which Pinkie referred to RD as Dashie instead of as Rainbow Dash :V Shipping Goggles have some obscure uses lol.
