I'm now reminded of an episode of Doctor Who in which there was another Cloning Blues scenario where the morality of killing said clones was at the forefront, and the clones essentially were made of Gak.

But the thing is Pinkie has been shown in the past to be distracted very easily, that makes the test even more worrisome.
But these weren't normal circumstances. She had her friends on the line. It's sort of like how Fluttershy actually grows a spine when her friends are in danger.

So I noticed on the last page that you were all talking about how your retrospective familys feel about you being a brony. Well, for my family it's not a big deal. My sister likes the show too, and my parents are both fine with it. Honestly, I'd be more worried about my non-brony friends finding out about it.
I don't get why anyone would make a big deal about it. At the very least, anyone in school will probably have several brony classmates, so they'll know it's normal.

Not true. We see the first clone cross through the pool from its perspective, and it most certainly existed before hand. Twilight's spell put them back in their own world where they belong.
By then, Pinkie had already looked into the pool, rendering the argument moot.
If you claim that we were watching the clone from the beginning, my I remind you that she reffered to herself as Pinkie Pie. The clones had to be taught their name.
And yeah, as Badwolf says, it certainly looks like they were effectively killed anyway.
