The problem you have with Oa B is because you're American and see the "Indians versus white men" conflict differently from other people?

Ace speaks the truth. Without OAB, we wouldn't have Braeburn, or train ponies...or Showgirl pinkie.

I surmise L Mage might be one of those descended from ancient, semi-aboriginal Russian immigrants to the US back from the Cold Periods, or some of his friends are.

The problem I have with Oa B is that it was a horrendous dumbing down of an extremely deep and complex issue, with a unrealistic, childish, and utterly stupid resolution.

Actually, what works better...Twilight being his descendant...or some other pony being his descendant and Twilight has to find them?

Good thing is Hasbro should learn to keep their pony names as well as they did Transformers names (Seriously, the number of moulds Optimus Prime has is utterly staggering, lol).

@L Mage: Well, it was just a wild guess 8U

Also people if you are given godlike creation powers, please don't make your food sentient, that just makes dinner awkward.

A lot of fanfics love to elaborate on how Star Swirl trained Clover the Clever personally.

Luna hinted at knowing him personally.

Now there's a historical figure we could stand to see this season. Also, Twi needs to have lessons on self-control since she know has access to Dark Magic.

re: nutella: Dashie loves it as does Pinkie

@Seraph: Yeah, I saw you point out the cover before. Really exciting!

None of which I had an appreciation for.

@Osias: I'm African and therefore see the conflict differently from normal people. On this continent, people starve to death because of people violently reclaiming the homelands of their ancestors.

The only thing that was good at all in Oa B was Pinkie's song.

I didn't care much for Over a Barrel. Hell, the only reason I remember it at all is because it's brought up so much.

Yeah, I've done some of that in my King Arthur story. Star Swirl mentions his "previous student", and when he leaves the story he'll be going to Equestria.

I mean the specifics of American history. Wait! You mean you side with the Appleloosians in that episode?

As far as OAB goes, I consider the whole "Natives vs. Settlers" thing to be an entirely aesthetic choice; it really doesn't bear much commonality to the historical events, so I can't really hold that against it. It wasn't really trying to make any sort of statement on history, just pointing out that compromise is better than butting heads over something.

My main gripes are 1. it didn't do a good job of making the conflict seem even on both sides 2. the mane cast was kinda incidental to the conflict being solved 3. the resolution came out of nowhere, and the chief just completely lucked into it.

So, I've been playing the Gameloft game off and on for a few days now, and apparently, the game doesn't think I play it enough. I just got a message on my phone that said something to the effect of "You haven't played in a while. The ponies miss you."sad

I'm not sure whether to be impressed or angry at Gameloft for this.

@Applelight: What works best is Star Swirl's descendent coming to Ponyville to learn from Twilight and her friendstongue

I was so far on the Appleloosians' side, I thought the buffulo barely had a hoof to stand on and was furious with Rainbow Dash.

EDIT: I agree with JT so much that I wouldn't change one word in his review of the episode on his tumblr.

On the subject of the most recent episodes, I am going to agree that if anything about the Crystal Ponies' sadness was magical, it was the memory curse preventing them from remembering anything before Sombra's atrocities. The memories of his terrible reign are quite real.
I have a message from another time...
