I adored Pinkie Pie's jester costume. The crystal ponies were great to look at, though they were actually a bit more upper-class royal in appearance than I had expected. That wasn't something I was expecting based on what little I had seen from the merchandise that is already out in relationship to the Crystal Empire.

Yeah, the C Ps where pretty amazing. Although it seems that they are more of an 'upgrade' rather than a separate race, going by what happened to the girls, spike and SA.

And all E Ps too? Am I seeing that right?

So, do you think that them perking up and turning all crystal-looking when happy and reverting when sad is an inherent part of them, or Sombra's doing?

I think it's in their nature, as that seems to happen to all ponies in a way.

Seems like it was permanent to the crystal ponies bu only temporary for everypony else and it all had to do with the crystal heart.

Two episodes now? I guess the second cosplay is a preview?

I imagine that they're supposed to be crystally all the time, but Sombra's spell was sapping their emotions and the crystal nature of their coats at the same time.

So, uh, Thread Hop. I just got done watching the episode. That was awesome.

It was nice to see that while the main focus was on Twilight and Spike, the other mane 5 still got alot of screentime. And the songs were good too. Really, my only complaint is that we really didn't get to see enough of King Somber, so in a way he's probably the flatest out of any of the antagonists. Then again, when you have the same kind of looks that a generic OC has......

Hmm, I feel like composing a list of things from the episode likely to appear in fanfics. We have:

• Door that shows your worst fear,

• Sombra's origins,

• The history of the crystal kingdom,
  • Probably combined with Sombra's origins.

• Return of Sombra fics,

• Cadence ruling the crystal kingdom,
  • Some fics having her protecting it from new threats,

• Implications of Twi/Celestia using dark magic, probably involving corruption.

Can you guys think of anything else?

So, Celestia is like: I gave you orders that might cause you to endanger a whole civilization, just to see if you'd violate those orders if it were necessary.

and i'm like:So Celestia either has perfect faith in Twilight's ability to unhesitatingly violate orders like that, or she believed she was giving orders that endangered a whole civilization.

throw in that it was initially Spike ignoring Twilight's orders that saved Twilight from the first trap, and well, Celestia seems more than a little morally dubious here.

If Spike had waited longer:King Sombra wins. If Twilight had hesitated longer:Sombra wins.

Also:Twilight Sparkle- really really terrifying...she sees a spell once and can just copy it.Yikes.

Finally:It appears the Sombra might actually have been stronger than Twilight, although given what happened it's hard to certain.(Crystal Trap, Teleport Trap etc)

Fic idea, King Sombra suffered the same curse as Nightmare Moon.
