People probably forget because Luna's been so under the radar. I have a feeling once more Luna discussion picks up it'll come up more often.
I suggest sending people IN SPAAAAACE, Deep In The Ocean, and Deep Within The Earth as pretty neat tricks.
That's just the moon, I mean further away than that. BEEEE-YIIIITCH!
If I were Twilight I'd just straight up ASK Celestia "Are there any other unspeakably powerful horrors locked up around here? Y'know, to make sure we don't get blindsided when they inevitably wake up?"

I'm clueless about the current topic too. ._.
^In Discworld, Lord Vetinari,
Machiavellithe Patrician, has a clock in his waiting room that's designed not to tick right. It skips ticks, ticks too soon or too late, that sort of thing. It's intended to soften people up before he calls them in to speak with them, and it always works.

Anyone want to predict what might have happened to anypony else who opposed her?
She would have turned them into stone, thrown them into a pool of water which she would turn into stone as well and then send them to the sun which she
also would then turn into stone.
Okay, so everypony would die, but the problem would be well and truly dealt with.
