Huh, other than doomsaying and general dread, all I've seen are reasons why this is probably just a rumor and not actually true.

I'm still getting ready for war. Disney's going to have to fight hard if it wants to put a chokehold on the fandom.

Hey Applelight, and they haven't screwed up the Marvel movies, au contrare they're letting Marvel do their thing. I would like to think they might take a similar approach to Hasbro and not worry, assuming they buy it.

It probably is just a rumor. With the out of left field news of Disney buying Lucasfilm, I'm sure people are just looking for what might be next on the shopping list. Hasbro? Nintendo? The BBC? You buy Star Wars and suddenly no franchise, no company seems safe.

But its fun to speculate and praise the downfall of mankind.

Seriously people are upset about this? It didn't ruined Marvel stuff (not counting few unfortunate cases like ending shows like Spectacular Spiderman), and will not ruin Hasbro stuff. Especially considering current cartoon on Disney Channel.

If Hasbro will be assimilated by Mouse Empire it will mean that we can have both pony toy and Disney Princess toy at once.

Of course the rumors are less likely once you consider the sheer amount of paperwork and planning they need to do with Lucas before they can even turn their attention elsewhere.

Now reading: a mature (clop?) fic called ''Xenophilia". The guy put actual serious characterwork into the story and has some interesting culture comparisons going on.

Yeah, but at least the writing is reasonably good. One of things that automatically improved the story's standings in my eyes was when the protagonist and Dashie started comparing their cultures and acknowledging the differences.

I still believe it's either too soon or too expensive for Disney in general.

(Besides I already archived all the episodes on my tablet and in backup thumbdrives, so I have massively redundant backups :V)

@Ace: While I do believe that just about any idea can be done well, I'm still probably going to avoid that one. I'm not a fan of clop in general, and the title implies some additional content that I'd rather not see done in detail.
