Maybe she's just worried about she knows how busy Celestia is and how tempting it'd be to just give up on Twilight.

I would love to see Celestia take on more of the sun's aspect - well, let me clarify. I imagine that the sisters are very much like the bodies they govern; Celestia is a lifegiver, the warm monarch who gives light to everyone equally. When she gets angry - truly angry, not just stern, or scared, like when Discord escaped - she blazes like the sun. Luna is distant and quiet, but she still glows, and she can interact with ponies on a much more personal level, like when you look out your window at night and see the moon (props to Half of the Day is Night). When she gets angry, she gets cold - The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress.

That actually makes a fuck ton of sense.

It'd also mean that Luna should be able to squeeze the most out of whatever little social interaction she can find (since night time in Equestria sounds pretty barren, and I don't think too many ponies would be walking around)

I can imagine her looking out over her balcony, and conversing for hours with a drunken pony who's stumbling around on the ground below. She'd just sit there talking to him about... stuff

I can picture a workaholic mech-engineer Unicorn working hard on her Iron Mare suit late at night, when Luna drops in to see what she's making. Cue heavy technical discussion about how to get the suit's power source working properly.

...We totally need an Iron Mare fanfic. Spark Reactors, fancy metal armor, rivals trying to steal her work, and lots of equipment-testing fail hilarity. Would Pony Stark realise that she doesn't need to be a superheroine all the time? Will someone stop her from binging on Luna's Moonshine? How spectacular will the next explosion in her Canterlot machine shop be?

Ahahahaha, the end of that Maplejack chapter was hilarious.

I know someone suggested that there could be a seapony with a narwhal horn, but not a narwhal itself. Though it would make sense, since people used to believe that narwhals were unicorns that ran into the ocean, or something like that.

I remember reading somewhere that some sailors sold Narwhal horns claiming them to be Unicorn horns.

Also, ever hear of the pistol shrimp?

What if, there was an 'Earth pony' equiliant Seapony named Coralsmith, who makes Coral, and his/her special power is the ability to make that same water snap thing EXCEPT;

whereas a 'pistol' shrimp packs the power of a .22 cal pistol, this much bigger animal is more or less a living artillery gun!

Pony Stark's "Iron Mare" power suit can be worn by any earth pony, and features a pair of ion propulsion wings and a plasma bolt blaster horn. And it all folds up into the size of a saddlebag, ready to go at a moment's notice.

Sea Hippocampi (Earth Pony) Winged Hippocampi (Pegasus) Narwhal Hippocamoi (Unicorn)

oh! Right. Well, I recall reading that there were winged hippocampi depicted in some legends, so there's that. But really, why would a seapony need to fly?

My honest best guess at the equivalent of a sea pegasus would be a kelpie, since they can turn into regular horses and move around on land - next level up, and all that.

I still prefer sea ponies as one subrace of Pony.

A Pegasus sea pony could maybe be one of those Flying Fish.

Or maybe just don't try to make the races each have the same subtypes. Obviously a Unicorn can be done anywhere but an underwater pegasus doesn't seem to feasible to me. Maybe Pegasus could be the variable between races. Like Sea Ponies have something along the lines of say an octopus, Zebras could have Zebras that are really good at running or herbalism or something.

Land Ponies clear the seasons, the weather, etc

I imagine them having to grow and maintain coral reefs, control the currents, shoal the fish etc.
