No, really. The good folk over at the podcast 'Friendship is Madness' scored an interview with Nicole Oliver, who voices Celestia and Cheerilee. Discussion topics include ponies, voice acting, and a little bit of an unofficial confirmation for a third Season. Unofficially I think we already knew that much, but it's still neat. I'm expecting another cupcakes reference on Nightmare Night, when Pinkie does some suspiciously-themed cupcakes to creep everyone out. The effect is ruined because she also made a cupcake themed after herself.

That reminds me, today I walked by a cardboard display for the new Muppets movie and noticed in the corner of the picture was a tray of cupcakes with frosting in the shape of the Muppets' faces. Cute!

I very much doubt there's any reference to a gory fanfiction in this show. I know everyone tried to claim Party of One as one, but that's impossible. Also I love Princess Celestia's voice.

^I like her voice, yes, but her delivery just sounds a little stilted sometimes. I don't know... it could just be that she suffers in comparison with more experienced voice actresses like Tara Strong and Tabitha St. Germain.

I always attributed that to the fact that because she's the Princess, she's supposed to be perpetually calm and composed. I agree it would sound stilted coming from any other character, but I think it kinda fits Princess Celestia.

Also, I wish they didn't use the same credits on every episode. We didn't know Tabitha St. Germain was Photo Finish until like five months after the original airing of "Green Isn't Your Color".

Not to mention we've apparently been wrong about Cheerilee's voice actress all this time. We had Emilie Barlow (voice of Sailor Mars) listed for her. Nicole Oliver even did a bit of Cheerilee's voice in the interview, she had a cold but it was her alright.

Is there anyone else we may have gotten wrong and we're just mishearing voices?

Wow, I picked up this series as a lark, yet did not realize I would like it this much.

That's pretty much the unofficial motto of the brony fanbase.

And I was just thinking of an idea for a possible episode — what if Rarity sees somepony in distress and wants to help, but her subject doesn't want help. Will the Element of Generosity freak out because she can't be generous?

I'm inclined to say Tabitha for having a lot of voices you wouldn't pick out at first, and being able to effectively talk to herself. On the other hand, you have to give props to pinkie/fluttershy's actress for having that damn wide of a behavioral range. That can;t be easy, I know a lot of voice actors tend to get typecast just because their voices are only good for one or two different personalities.

I vote for Tara Strong. She is my fav female VA. I wish she have more roles in this show. Horever she is Mane protagonist and she do wonderfull job in this.

They are like the others. Strange, hideous, resisting, fighting. Only these were not like the others. They did not die.

Fuck. I'm on full Twilight Crazy mode right now. Deadlines are freefalling and my world is tumbling. And you know what? I'm thankful for this show. Again. This time, it's because it helped me feel understood*^ ("It's not such a big deal! Come on, let's all have a beer and go bowling!"), and not-alone, and is also helping me mitigate my feelings, and also hang on and not give in to despair. Thanks, everyone.

I feel the same way sometimes. I can identify with Twilight a lot, but I don't actually go crazy. If it were me, I'd just go on Tv Tropes and hope that a lesson spontaneously pops into my head sometime during the day.

Tabitha gets my vote for best voice actress. You just don't see (hear?) many voice actresses with her range. I'd seen a couple of episodes of "Martha Speaks, " and never caught on that it was Tabitha!

I'd long suspected it was Tabitha voicing Zecora. I see now that it's been confirmed on the Minor Characters page. It's about bleepin' time! It seemed like they were deliberately keeping The One Who Speaks in Cryptic Rhymes' voice actress a secret.

I hope we see more Zecora this season. She's been criminally under-used, IMO.
