The sizes of the princesses aren't very consistant. Celestia's fucking massive in Sonic Rainboom, and if we go by that scale then Luna's most definitely larger than the mane cast

I've taken two screenshots of Celestia from Elements of Harmony. One with Twilight, one with Luna. Luna doesn't appear larger than Twilight so much as ganglier; she seems a little taller, but also skinnier.

^Let's wait and see how Luna scales in "Luna, Eclipsed"; we're bound to get tons of reference shots then.

Celestia's also rather huge in "Lesson Zero". Maybe her size changes as the sun rises as sets, to match the amount of power she gets from it? XD

Ah, OK. I was going by volume, since I'd consider a 5' guy with muscles like Arnie to be "larger" than a 6' willowy guy who's so skinny he can only wear hats.

So we were both right with the right definitions.

Somepony needs to write to Celestia about what they learned from this.

So, I've been thinking...Now, each of the mane six have gotten an episode devoted to driving them insane (well, half an episode in Fluttershy's case, and an argument can be made for Applejack as well). What would an episode that does the same to, say, Spike, or the Crusaders, look like? (And no, I don't consider Owl's Well that Ends Well and example; he got incredibly jealous, yes, but wasn't simply broken like the mane six were.)

By the way, did anyone else really like the visual effects when Celestia warped in to put a stop to the desire spell? It looked like she was appearing inside a big ball of sunlight. I thought it was really cool.

Why do the ponies get 3 different sub species and not the sea ponies?

I have no issue with sea ponies being the 4th pony subspecies, except...

Why isn't there any sea pony in Luna or Celestia then?

Could you say they were simply outside of Celestia's domain? She may rule over quite a lot, but she doesn't have to rule the ocean too.

I'm drawn towards the idea that if ponies are 'humans', then horses are 'ogres'!

That reminds me of when I wondered if Megan ever asked "So what is T.J. to you Ponyland ponies, anyway? Is he like Cro-Magnon Man or something?"

How would the mane cast interact with them?

Scuba gear? Bubble Head Charm? Glass bottom boats? or would they go the Kingdom Hearts route of having Twilight actually turn them INTO sea ponies (or some other type of fish) for a short while?

I've now watched the entirety of Puella Magi Madoka Magica so I can understand all the references being thrown around her. I wonder if other people on Tv Tropes feel the same about My Little Pony.

I saw some ponified madoka cast and some ponies humanized in madoka style. I am sure many people do.

I'm expecting another cupcakes reference on Nightmare Night, when Pinkie does some suspiciously-themed cupcakes to creep everyone out. The effect is ruined because she also made a cupcake themed after herself.
