The sizes of the princesses aren't very consistant. Celestia's fucking massive in Sonic Rainboom, and if we go by that scale then Luna's most definitely larger than the mane cast

I've taken two screenshots of Celestia from Elements of Harmony. One with Twilight, one with Luna. Luna doesn't appear larger than Twilight so much as ganglier; she seems a little taller, but also skinnier.

^Let's wait and see how Luna scales in "Luna, Eclipsed"; we're bound to get tons of reference shots then.
Celestia's also rather huge in "Lesson Zero". Maybe her size changes as the sun rises as sets, to match the amount of power she gets from it? XD
I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!
Ah, OK. I was going by volume, since I'd consider a 5' guy with muscles like Arnie to be "larger" than a 6' willowy guy who's so skinny he can only wear hats.
So we were both right with the right definitions.
Somepony needs to write to Celestia about what they learned from this.

I wonder if Luna will write a friendship letter...
"Dear Sister..."
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
"Dear sister. You said that if I flashed a toothy grin and wore a creepy cloak, everyone would be friends with me. Instead, all the kids ran away."
"Dear sister, after all this Nightmare Night stuff is over, I would like to control the moon again. And I've also seen that moon cannon thing you've had the guards working on. I would just like to tell you that I do not like bananas and you can come see me in my throne room from now on."
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
Then Celestia hits the button, and the giant Moon Springboard launches Luna into orbit.
It's not as bad as it sounds; without magic involved she can just fly back. It's just really, really annoying.
insane spike? that would be interesting. What aboout an insane Celestia?
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
C. S. Lewis
That would be terrifying.
By the way, did anyone else really like the visual effects when Celestia warped in to put a stop to the desire spell? It looked like she was appearing inside a big ball of sunlight. I thought it was really cool.
I have a message from another time...
Finally caught up. Wow, I picked up this series as a lark, yet did not realize I would like it this much.

I've now watched the entirety of Puella Magi Madoka Magica so I can understand all the references being thrown around her. I wonder if other people on
Tv Tropes feel the same about My Little Pony.

It's pronounced "Te-ah-low-ve"
@Spirit: That was pretty much my reaction too.

Yep, watched all the way up to Lesson Zero. The next episode is about Luna right?
