I like the CM Cs myself. They're cute as anything, especially AB, and I find Scoot quite funny at times. And Sweetie has a hell of a pair of lungs on her.

They mostly make very good plot devices.

It's more incomprehensible than horrifying.

As CMC fan I'm exited about their first s2 episode. I was litte woried when I saw "Apple Bloom get her Cutie Mark" because it sounded like that stupid idea for episode when only one of Crusaders get CM and it create conflic between CMC, but it's something diffrent. I wonder how AB will look with those cutie marks.

I'm a bit ambivalent about the CMC. Stare Master is one of my favorites, but I didn't like Show Stoppers as much.

I liked both of them. Well I liked every episodes.

Doesn't Pokey only have a super-sharp horn in the balloon-popping scene? IIRC, when he shows up in crowd shots his horn is the same as anypony else's.

I'm just looking forward towards the sweetie bell/rarity episode. Sweetie is by far the least developed, but I think she a-freakin'-dorable, so I really want to see her get a real personality. Hopefully it doesn't just come down to 'really loves her sister'.

I'm pretty excited for the CMC episode, though. The chance for a bit of real conflict just means, you guessed ti, more character developement. Even though it still hinges around the cutie marks, it's still something very different for them to do.

Why you all keep saying that Sweetie is least developed? She had more screen time than Scootaloo.

I hope Scoot will have her episode to. Hmm , ep 5 SB, ep 6 AB, maybe ep 7 will be about Scoot.

screen time or no, Sweetie doesn't have personality. What do we know about her? She's nice? Maybe kinda slow? She's rarity's sister, and she likes to sing.

So what do we know about scoots? She's brash, she daring. She likes to argue. She's a huge fan of dash. She's a thrill seeker. Sweetie's prsonality, such as it is, is much more passive than scoots. So, despite scootaloo having less screen time she's had much more presence, and therefor she has more character.

SB have personality.

with regards to Twist,

I don't think AB just ditched her. She seems too nice to do that. Maybe, she still hangs around with her during School Hours. Afterall, Scoot and Sweetie weren't in AB's class (the feild trip dosn't count. Classes get mixed up together in those all the time).

It's just that we, the audience, don't get to see that, because it's not seen as important.

It still feels like it though.

SB doesn't seem any less developed than Scootaloo to me.

You described it. I can add that she is interested in theather or other perming on scene, but she is afraid of public performance. She may be obsesed about corect use of words (from her dictonary scene). She is not less developed than Scoot. Scoot is only more vocal.

I hope they do something with Twist. Now she is demoted to be backroud (blank flank) filly.

Maybe she covered her cutie mark so Applebloom would pay attention to her.

But that's why she's less developed than scoots. I'm not saying she doesn't have a personality, it's just that it never has a chance to shine through. She just never really does anything, because what personality she has is extremely passive. Every time scoots and applebloom argue we get a little more info on their personalities, but Sweeite only ever argued with them in return of harmony. She's always just been pulled along by another pony - we need to see her doing something. We just can't get as much out of reactions as we can out of actions.

Anyways, it's really a moot point. I still think she's the least developed, bu they all need more developement. It looks like we might actually be getting it this season, so fingers crossed!

As a fan of the CMC, I love the idea of "Cutie Pox". Just imagine the wacky hijinx when the other Crusaders start trying to catch it on purpose.

And I think Sweetie Belle has a personality, but she's too timid for it to be shown in what little screen time she has so far. It's hard to get attention when you have Scootaloo nearby stealing the spotlight all the time...
