I honestly imagine him as being very active - and perhaps even poetic - INSIDE his head. He may emote widely when not around other ponies, being very shy and all. I'd like to see that, really. I hope he getsm ore development, at least. I mean, Granny Smith has gotten plenty by now.
Yeah, he's not an extremely active character, so it's hard to build an episode around him due to how low key he is. You'd need something for him to react to.
How about an episode where he gets dragged off (possibly without his consent) to go on adventuuuuuures because why not.
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."
I think it would more interesting for the conflict to be personality based. Like his sisters try to pressgang him into doing something that he doesn't want to.
For those who are interesting, I'm finally getting around to finishing up that massive S1/S2 overview I said I would do way back when. Eesh is this thing long...
I might just see it that way however because I like the idea of RD being a Dynamic Character and it sorta explains away her Characterization Marches On moment in Dragonshy.
It doesn't have to explain anything. People don't always act perfectly consistently anyway. Maybe RD was jsut stressed and got really annoyed by the useless lump burdening them down in a life or death situation.

Evening everypony.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
Big Mac is actually a secret superhero. He stays queit so less people are likely to recognize his civilian identity.

Well, Clark Kent was a farm boy, too.
Or he could be a underground boxer.

Trust me, Big Mac is no super hero. Apple Bloom on the other hoof...
