Add in official confirmation that Hasbro, the Hub, and the show runner all love Derpy. Yeah, she's not likely to ever get a speaking role or be named in show again, but she ain't going anywhere.

I could see an episode focusing on her in which every time someone says her name they either get cut off or something very loud happens to accidentally censor it. It'll never happen, but it would be fun.

They should have an unreveal like that for Scootaloo's parents.

ok, I had a random idea for an episode.

The mane 6 are hanging out somewhere talking about stuff. The Gala comes up, and Rarity jokingly mentions how terrible everyone versions of their own dresses were. Twilight reveals that she's actually read up a lot about dress and clothes making(and has talked to Fluttershy about it) since that incident and would never make a disaster like that again. Rarity claims there's a lot more to dressmaking than just book learning, you need to put your heart into it as well. The discussion escalates into an argument for whatever reason and Twi, caught up in the heat of the moment, claims she now knows enough to make a dress just as good, if not better, than Rarity. Dash takes this claim as an challenge, and sets them up in an dress making competition.

Stuff happens, and the episode ends on a Technician Versus Performer aesop.

hmm...this sounded better when it was in my head.

That doesn't exactly work because Rarity has both technique and artistic intuition. You can't have one versus the other when one side has both.

Twilight and Rarity having a dress-designing contest could be interesting. Or what if Twilight and Rarity tried to switch jobs for a day or something?

@storyyeller: Someone EATS the dresses? Even Spike probably wouldn't do that, he loves to eat gems but he's pretty devoted to both Rarity and Twilight and he wouldn't want to ruin their work by eating all the gems off of their dresses. Parasprite invasion again, maybe? Or if Spike's greed took over again and he was trying to gorge on ANY gems he could find, even ones that were attached to clothing?

On that last thing, I wonder if changelings can impersonate dragons, or can they only turn into ponies?
