Since it's been a couple hours and pages, reposting this for the thread hoppers:
For those who weren't around to see my original posts on the subject, my friend and I have been working on a FIM-based scrolling shoot-em-up for the last few months. We're aiming for a release of "before Christmas, " and most of the assets and game have already been finished. She has now released two demos of the game, with the intent of stirring up awareness of the game as well as receiving constructive feedback and criticism. The download to the new, revised demo can be found here:

For those who played the previous version of the demo, this version features changes to the control scheme and difficulty:
- The Shift key's function being moved to the A key, and being made a toggle instead of a hold.
- No more manual shots for Twilight or Chatterbox; Cadance retains a manual shot, but the need to mash it as quickly as possible for maximum damage is mitigated. (Her manual shot now fires four shots in a row for every press of the button.)
- In game tutorial accessible with the U key on the title screen. Please though, check out the included readme file.
- Reduced difficulty by way of "less bullets flying everywhere, " do to observations of playtesters elsewhere. (The final game will almost certainly include selectable difficulty settings.)
Note that no change has been made to hit or damage indication as of yet, do to the difficulty of adding such a wide-reaching feature making it unfeasible for this build. We'll get there. In the meantime, please be aware that the in-game tutorial does clearly indicate the hitboxes for each character.
Also, be aware that to exit the game you will have to use the Esc key. The X button on the game's window does not work. Sorry about that!
To both newcomers and to those who have played the previous demo, we thank you for your interest and time. Any and all comments, whether compliments, criticism, or complaints, would be appreciated! We hope you enjoy!
