That would require us to first determine their actual ages. Anyway, I'd go with 18 since it's like the US.

People say that the CMC being poorly developed is a reason why they shouldn't get more episodes, but isn't it a reason that they should? The solution to lack of development is more development, not giving up and going home.

Last time I checked, the voting age was 15.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

wild mass guessThey aren't developed because they don't have cutie marks yet.

[up] What? You're making that up.

@Perpetual: The problem is that in a lot of people's minds, the CMC have gotten enough episodes to develop, but haven't. I'm not averse to getting more CMC episodes if they get that development, but if we're going to get more episodes of them doing what they usually do, I wouldn't be as happy about it.

Is it usual for towns to have elected positions like mayor when the country they're in is a traditional monarchy?

More CMC episodes = Less Episodes on the mane cast.

Les Episodes on the mane cast = very very bad.

Cue jokes about them being ''well developed'' in fanart.

@crow Well, they can't be everywhere at once, but Celestia seems to be pretty good about that, so the mayor seems pretty useless.

@ATC:This.[awesome]

Unless the writers actually start developing the CM Cs, that is.

[down]That would be nice too.

@ATC: I'd personally like to see more episodes that capitalize on the CMC interacting with the mane cast. Like have Scootaloo get fed up with her inability to fly and take lessons from RD or something. That and it would give the CMC the opportunity to develop without taking too much screentime away from the mane cast.

I don't know about traditional monarchies, but it is common in dictatorships.

What about something like Sisterhooves Social?

The many, many episodes devoted to the CMC have so far done nothing to further develop them (as others have said, Scootaloo has even lost most of her development) so giving them more focus isn't gonna solve it on its own. The writers have to make a decision to develop them.

I think I've said this before, but I wanna know what's up with the royal guard. I want Shiny and Twi to still be BBBFF, so it could work into the plot.

More CMC interaction with the mane case would definitely be a good thing. We need a Scoots and Rainbow Dash episode, damn it!

A better way to develop the CMC would be to give them their own spin-off series.

Better to have two fully-fledged shows than a show torn between two casts and too many characters.

I think we've already seen too much of the CMC.

But then we'd have a studio torn between two shows.

Don't you mammals find it horribly embarrassing and shameful?

I swear I know a Croconaw just like you.

anyway, finished reading The Dresden Fillies. Fun story, makes me want to try out the read the Dresden Files. Add that to Doctor Who to the list of series ponies has gotten me curious about.

I think horses are grown by the time they're 2 or 3, but magic ponies might age like humans. What do you think?

[up] Also, is that a Shout Out to The Postman, or am I looking for order in chaos again?
