I still find the most amusing part of the video to be that the cannon completely misses the moon every time.

Well now the cannon makes sense, if Celestia really can't use the Elements of Harmony anymore. When she's in a pranking mood, she doesn't care how accurate that cannon is!

That'd be the wizened gentlecolt, the national hero, that seasoned veteran, Solid Snake.

Yea, maybe she just lets herself get launched and then uses her wings to recover and go off to do her own thing, because it's easier to just bail on the conversation that way than spend the next hour trying to convince her sister to let her do the moon thing again, as well as allowing her to avoid any antagonizing that may occur if she just walks out.

It's just a cultural thing; they place a lot more weight on keeping one's composure than most Western nations do, and the culturally ideal woman in Japan is very quiet and reserved.
