I had Tremors 2 Flashbacks when I saw those things do that.

I still think the way Rarity reacted to them was pretty contrived though. She was the ONLY one who seemed to have any kind of control over the parasprites, and THAT'S why she refused to go anywhere near them?

It wasn't exactly puke, since the puke contained another parasprite.

Getting caught up in minor details at the expense of the overall situation is kind of Rarity's thing. See also Look Before You Sleep. Thus, her first thought is "oh god it might puke on meee!" and it takes a little while to sink in that they're destroying the town.

They seemed to be more manageable in smaller numbers. It wasn't until there were tons of them that they started wrecking everything. Maybe they know to behave themselves until they have an army.

I wonder if there's an evolutionary reason for why the parasprites are attracted to music.

Maybe there's a Parasprite King or something that uses certain noises to control the workers?

Could be an aggregation signal in which case they're all capable of producing music.

I doubt that there's parasprite royalty. In such cases, workers can't usually reproduce, which is clearly not the case.

And no way RD can serve that Celestria. Her element is loyality not blind obedience. (Yes I have low opinion about My X Right or Wrong tropes).

Horever RD could be corrupted and her element twisted into element of Obedience.

I meant more that Celestia turned out to be evil all along. (I know it makes no sense, I'm being hypothetical)

Or if not evil, then what about being put in a situation where Celestia and Twilight have differing opinions on how to solve a situation. Who would RD side with?
