She probably had Cadence as a babysitter for about a year or so? perhaps until she passed some kind of Gifted Education test and went to take a bigger test at Celestia's academy.

Topic about ponies? What strange world do I live in?
...Anyway, Colin apparently had his first "pony" dream. I quoted that since the dream didn't involve Equestria or any majorly known ponies. All it was, was him wearing a costume meant to look like me. I'm not sure if I should be flattered or disturbed.
