So er, atm, the ship looks like a cartoony pre-dreadnought (i.e, late 19th, very early 20th century) battleship that can fly, and is powered by soda pop.

But I'm thinking...I may have went too far in time for inspiration, as all the best voyages deal primarily in the Age Of Sail.

So yeah, I could make it like a flying sailing ship (albeit one with engines), but that might make it too flimsy. It's supposed to be a tough, durable, flying tank capable of fighting big flying monsters.

Anyone any thoughts?

and nothing NSFW about taking about the existence of breasts. Seriously it's annoying when Moral Gaurdian types seem to think anything that can in any way shape or form can be linked to anything at all sexual is some repugnant idea.

Not saying you Lurker, just overstating it for emphasis Pet Peeve Trope and all. Some people really need to get off there little odd planet where gore, maiming, disemboweling, violence, death etc. are all more acceptable and less traumatizing then seeing a nipple.

I can only imagine how much chess-piece grinders make in Equestria from all the special edition sets they must crank out with somepony's likeness on the Knights or something :D

@Apple: Go for a hyrbid design, an ironclad "clipper" or pirate galleon design bristling with old-school cannons and a cloudtrap sail array.
