Ditto. I saw a Wonderbolts shirt I'd like, because it's not covered in ponies and easy to avoid any questions from non-bronies.

Pegasister sounds like sister beater in Spanish. I prefer bronette.

@Ginger: Mine didn't go as far as questioning my sexuality (I still haven't told my parents
that, either), but he did say he was ashamed of me. That hurt, I must say, but I recovered my self-esteem pretty quickly.
My twin sister actually got me into the show! She sat down on the couch one day and was like, 'Okay, I'm buckling down and watching this pony show... you in?' and I was rather reluctant at first. Now she complains that I never shut up about bloody ponies. =D
^I got an Elements of Harmony shirt from WeLoveFine just recently, myself.

Today was National Coming Out day, and I saw a few people with "I like My Little Pony" stickers.

^^Can someone actually tell me what the Spanish phrase is? I mean,
Kamina's name, I'm told, sounds absolutely filthy in a dialect of Chinese, but I still call him Kamina.
Not to step on any Spanish-speaking bronies' hooves, of course!
I'm sure we have plenty of straight comrades, Ginger. My roommate's straight as anything and he still sits down to watch the new episodes with me.

The number of bi and gay fans is rather surprising to me. I thought most of the brony fanbase was straight, but apparently there's quite a few non-straight fans out there.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. =)
^Interesting... the maths of gender insecurity...
^^Oh, Cardiff? (I was going to pothole that to Torchwood, but I figure you get quite enough of that everywhere else on the Internet.)

Here here,
I'm as straight as they come, and I have several gay friends, and I don't feel that being threatened by either at all. There's a difference between manlyness and machoism by the way.
P.S: A saw a
really cute girl with a pinkie pie sticker in my lecture group the other day. I will be making a move. Wish me luck!

x5 I'd never heard of any gay/bi fans, so I just assumed most fans were straight. Also, a lot of the fans who were asked about their sexuality got rather defensive.

There's a bronette in my class too, but due to my wonderful crippling lack of social audacity, I have yet to talk to her.

I thought I typed straight, but clearly I didn't. My subconscious must be more prejudiced than I thought. Probably from my sister, who's against a lot of stuff.

It's generally good not to question anyone about their sexuality, especially if people are still in the closet. I almost wish I were still in college now because it might be fun to hang out with show fans (assuming whatever college I was in had 'em). On the other hand, I don't like being around big groups of people. I do wonder how many fellow female fans would be there, though.
The last time I cared about what anyone thought was shortly before the 10 years I spent being shuffled from institution to institution because it was assumed my absence seizures and a vicious streak that you couldn't see the end of without a telescope because of my constantly being made fun of were a sign of insanity. As I have childhood to make up for, I plan to for savor it for as long as possible. Another 40 years or so should about do it.
"You're my favourite Princess ever!"
@Sky Strike: No worries, man, no worries at all. =)
@Brony: Good luck with Pinkie girl!
Yeah... especially at a brony meetup, I would avoid asking people about their sexuality. If they haven't hit the Total Acceptance stage yet, they'll just get defensive.
