I would love to see Friendship Is Magic do a Freaky Friday Flip. I love that stock episode plot, and FIM's strong characters would make it all the better..

Actually, the cutie marks are on what would be considered a hip if the ponies were human.

If they were on the butts, the ponies would be sitting on them. They're more visible on the side than behind anyhow.

Hopefully this will lessen the "butt tattoo" and "dat flank" jokes.

You might have a chance yet, Touhou is still mostly an Internet meme machine that has yet to leak into real life because the source games are kinda niche. It has leaked into Japan and Singapore though.

Meanwhile, the ponies are on National TV. Pop culture immersion is easier that away.

@Deathcloud: Touhou is basically Bullet Hell, but you wouldn't know that from the memes and the overwhelming fancontent.

Ponies have yet to hit the critical mass where the memes and fanworks self-perpetuate and grow like some kind of fungus-mouse, but they're well on the way and the source material is more readily accessible.

Selene is a nice name. Rather, it's a beautiful name. An awesome name.

I am partly biased by the spellcard "Silent Selene" and the MtG card "Paraselene" (named after the thing called a "paraselene"

I'd just like to mention that it's depressing to see the "Girls' Toys" section of a store and see how little shelfspace MLP gets in comparison to Barbie and Hello Kitty, or the dearth of MLP-related products (bathrobes, underwear, etc.). It's a reminder of how little the show has penetrated the public consciousness.

^I actually went to a Target sale at the beginning of this year looking to score a figure or two. No such luck.
