On the other hand, I also had a darker idea where death is a taboo subject and ponies take an 'ignore it and hope it goes away' approach.

I'm wih Purple on this one. I'm sure that their are crappy things in Equestria much like in the real world, we just don't get to see them because it's a kids show and whatnot.

My headcannon is that death does not exist in Equestria.

@Story: Pinkie says otherwise.

OOC: Head cannon pretty much does not exist when I use my Orion Character. I know that sounds odd, but let me explain. When playing the role, I have this tier of things I need to follow. First is cannon; if the show states/shows something, I must follow it regardless of my opinion of it. For example; I never really noticed that the ponies sometimes wore clothes and sometime didn't. I never thought much of it until AJ said "[They] normally don't wear clothes" and Rarity said "some have standards."

Second is word of god and merchandise; if cannon hasn't made mention of something, this comes next. Ever since the trading cards came out, we've learned that the "time lord pony" is called Doctor Hooves. To those who noticed, I have stopped calling him Doctor Whooves. I will not call him that again unless cannon says otherwise.

Lastly is head cannon and fannon*; this is when the first two have yet to make any statement. Basically, I have free range on how I can interpret Orion. Because of this, we've established the conditioner gag, his immortality, and his cutie mark origins. If cannon, word of god, or merchandise ever make a statement on this character, then that WILL take precedence over my head cannon. So if this character gets a name, I will have to make do with that. However, if such a thing does happen, I will have a field day with this thread.[lol]

-* Fannon is more or less fourth in the tier list, but anything that is below the second tier is pretty much the same thing to me.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

@ATC Really? I guess that the funeral in Hearts and Hooves Day didn't exist, then?

I don't see the (Equestria) world in a Optimism / Pessimism view, more like Idealism / Cynicism. It's pretty Idealistic.

@ATC But Granny Smith has clearly grown older.

Unless the ponies never die and just keep getting older forever and ever.surprised

@Purple: Great, now I have the image in my head of Granny Smith looking like a zombie due to never dying and just getting older and older. Thanks alot, Purple.tongue

In less creepy news, here's this cute little pic I found.

My headcanon is that Doctor Whooves studies ageing, hence the cutie mark.

Actually, the trading cards call him Time Turner; Dr. Hooves came from Mighty Fine, whose owner said that they got confirmation on the matter.

@Marsy Remember what happened to the bad guy at the end of The Last Crusade?

Kind of like that, but with a pony.

Sweet dreams.tongue

Nah, I guess that there is some kind of afterlife that is easily accessible from Equestria or something.

I don't know, I just don't like the thought of Rainbow Dash getting older and being unable to sprint or fly or anything.

I don't know, such a sad concept as death wouldn't really fit this show.

So....like Sovngarde?

The scary thing about Dashie growing old is that it will eventually make her cutie mark useless.

Nah, I bet she'd make a great coach when she gets on in years.

She already acts like a coach.

That was probably the coolest part of Hurricane Fluttershy. She's not just a coach, she's actually a pretty good one.

Going on that, I bet Dash will probably only get busier as she gets older, so she'll be moving faster than ever.

I really do think that RD makes just as good a leader as Twilight does. We just don't get to see her do it often because the leadership role always defaults to Twilight whenever they're in a group.

@Bad's pic: Why would we do that? We just use our face when eating. That is, unless you are a unicorn, then you got magic to work with.
