It was for little girls and their parents, so I guess everyone. I'm just a crotchety old bitch who dislikes people thinking that it's dismissive to call it a little girls' show (because little girls can NEVER have a good show or like anything outside of gooshy cutesy conflict-free shows), and that bronies try to claim the whole show for themselves or whine when the marketing dares cater to little girls. I guess there would be less trouble if it were women liking a show for little boys. I dunno.

I know this is an obvious and cliche plot idea, but fuck it, I wanna see it real bad.

Freaky Friday Flip (without their voices changing. Tara Strong doing a Texan accent, or Ashleigh trying to sound as soft as Fluttershy would be awesome

I noticed in the Gilda episode, Spike is carrying a ton of letters, and accidently sends them all to Celestia. So is he a maildragon? And how does he control who they get sent to? Maybe a magic address imprinted on them?

I think the scrolls are magic and always go to Celestia. Otherwise she'd be drowning in popcorn and cupcakes.

Sometimes a cliche is a cliche because it works well. I want to see that as well. Not just because of the voices, I want to see how they react to being a different type of pony. That's something I think the premier was missing, outside of their initial freakout, the ponies didn't really react to suddenly being earth ponies.

I think they were too worried about beating Discord. If there were situations later when they couldn't fly or use magic, it might be addressed.

x4 Maybe like the Discord episode ("Your horn! My horn!"). Maybe whoever gets the pegasi fail at flying, whoever gets the unicorns have no magical skill, and whoever gets the earth ponies aren't used to having no powers.

It would be quite the Mythology Gag if Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie switched bodies during the Freaky Friday Flip, considering how Fluttershy was originally going to be an Earth Pony and vice versa.

I always thought Fluttershy and AJ should switch bodies. They're complete opposites physique-wise. Plus, AJ acting all timid would be REALLY weird. (Not to mention Fluttershy acting all stubborn and tough with a texan accent)

I thought the idea would work better if their voices didn't switch with their souls. So we'd be hearing say, Fluttershy's VA putting on a Texas accent

Personally, I agree completely. One of the few shows I've seen avert it is JLU, and it would be nice to see it happen more often. I mean, I'm sure kids would figure it out.
