I can't remember the last time I saw a little girl in the media without her being an alien or a demon.

I meant mostly in terms of cuckolanderness, but that, too. I remember making up morbid stories as a kid. Although I also scared easily. Just not if I was making up the story.
I actually wonder how much the primary demographic for this show likes MLP to be honest.

I know, I know. I'm just saying that I'm not sure they really have any expectations about the direction the show 'should' take, or anything like that. =D Do children understand character arcs?
Anyway, since this seems to have been lost: I don't consider this a 'little girls' show'. Given the huge
Periphery Demographic, and Lauren Faust's stated desire to make cartoons that can be enjoyed by everyone, labeling it as such simply because of the branding is rather... I don't know, but it is definitely rather.
I'm a college student! I don't have time for this!
I consider it a little girls' show, just an awesome one. I don't like the idea of it being demeaning to call it that. Little girls can have good shows, too.
@That Cherilee episode idea
There's some fanon about her being friends with Twilight, and I can totally see that. Cherilee hangs out at the library a lot, whether it's with her class or for fun. Eventually she's going to get to know the librarian. It's nice that Twilight has more than 5 friends.

Of course, if a background character DID speak, especially a certain bubbly Pegasus... ohhh the anger that would follow.
They should have her have a different voice for every single word she says.
wow you guys post veyr fast. Little girls? this show is for men (and women)

Yeah. It probably goes with what appears to be a vampire costume.
It's too bad, though. I was so sure it was going to be Twilight who had a vampire costume. Guess we'll have to just wait and see.
Maybe Celestia was mostly an absent mentor, with Spike sending the notes and all. He did it when they were still in Canterlot after all.
Or it could be that Twilight's in the "grad student" phase of her education, or that it was just quicker to send her a fire-based fax.
