I don't know if I like species representing race, simply because I don't think white should be the default race. I think Snips and Snails should represent Canadians, though. Because they have beady eyes like the South Park Canadians.

They can't be Mexican! They aren't wearing enormous sombreros!

I think that according to Word Of God, the three "races" are the three different pony types. Other species are just that, different species. Any cultural trappings (like the Native American buffalo) are probably not indicative of the world as a whole.

Although on the other hand, Zecora is obviously supposed to resemble a native African, so I don't know. All I can really say is that we're probably not meant to look at it too closely.

Yeah, but that only goes so far. You can be the best teacher ever, and you'll still have trouble if the students refuse to listen. I mean, RD's special talent is racing and flying, but she still has trouble pulling off her trademark move with regularity.

But really, we haven't seen enough of Cheerilee's lessons to know how good of a teacher she is.
