Another possibility is that those towns aren't in Equestria. Pip has a pretty heavy accent, so he could easily be a foreigner. I'm actually starting to think that Trixie might have just made Hoofington up, too. Not only did she save a town from a threat that didn't exist, but the town didn't exist either!

Have they ever been confirmed to be inside Equestria? Because I think foreign nations is a given.

Los Pegasus could work equally well as a pun for Los Angeles OR Las Vegas. truth is it's probably simpler to just make one city act as a stand in for both. Maybe throw San Frasisco in there too. Kind of like what San Andreas did.

@Ace: Both my drawings thus far are patterned off of vectored versions of show art. I'm planning to leech off of those until I have the basics down well enough to start experimenting a little.

@Yeller: Jpeg is still popular because you can jam-pack it tiner than pngs if you don't mind compression quality going to tartaurus and getting dumped in Cerebrus's bowl.

BTW, Tartaurus isn't on the map either, but then again it is Hell, in a way, so it makes sense for Hell to be inaccessible by mundane roads.
