Because Netflix works better on dad's crappy internet than
YouTube. Plus I'm using the Kindle app, so no need for Silverlight :P

Don't give into the pressure of society, just be yourself, be fun, be crazy
I guess this is a discussion better continued in the other thread.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Diamond Tiara is a good antagonist. If I knew someone like her in real life I'd want to slap her, but as a character I think she's used rather well.
The same could be said of Pinkie in A Friend In Deed.

Indeed. Ugh, I don't think I've ever been more annoyed with Pinkie than I was in that episode. Leave the poor ass alone.
I prefer the term plot.

I also found Pinkie's behavior intolerable in
A Fi D. Not only did she invade his space, she repeatedly rifled through his belongings and refused to show any respect for his wishes at all.

Journalism is just a gun. It's only got one bullet in it, but if you aim right, that's all you need.
Aside from Pinkie's slightly out-of-character blindness to his annoyance, I feel like AFID is one of my favorite Pinkie episodes. She really is sweet when she's not just a Looney Tunes cutout (like in "The Last Roundup", which handled her terribly).
But on the other hand, The Last Roundup led to the best witchraft episode.

"A Friend In Deed" basically made a
Deconstruction out of Pinkie's
Adult Child status...or is that Mare-Foal status?
I've always thought of Deconstruction as "play a trope so straight that you see realistic consequences, and the flaws in it". Oh, and if you don't like what you see, don't worry! They intentionally make it so that you don't like what you see...because if they didn't, you would get
Misaimed Fandom!
Personally, I think Pinkie needs to grow up a little. As much as I like her, AFID and "Baby Cakes" made it clear that her immaturity causes problems at times!
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee!
