There is a deference between intentionally deceiving somepony by not stating something. And simply not volunteering information that will get you i trouble for no reason.

I would argue that being guilty of a crime and not confessing would be a case of the former.

We are talking about the hypothetical situation of Applejack also taking some of the cake but not confessing, right?

If you've seen any of the long trains of replies, it rarely ends up as "just one quick post".

There is a difference, yes, but the later is still a lie of omission.

You don't. Either they respond to your post, or they don't. (Sometimes, like what I do, they're online, but they don't want to respond, for whatever reason.) If it's really important to you that they see whatever message, there's always the PM system.

Sounds like a reasonable compromise. Except I don't really endorse pure "I'm logging off for now" posts either. But whatever.

just common cutesy. i know it pisses of the mods, but it's the truth, were a community of friends more then just a thread of random people, and you say hello and good night to your friends when you leave them.
