AJ WAS guilty in an earlier draft of the episode, but got cut for time.

Of course, if RD, Fluttershy, Rarity and AJ were all guilty, I would have expected a twist ending where it turns out Twi was also guilty somehow.

ok we are, and yeah she did admit it in the script, nd notice no pony asked her specificly. So she never lied

Twi was going to compliment her on NOT eating the cake when she would crack and admit it on her own.
