@JT: Actually, it isn't lawless, which is a plot point.

@Sereg: See? If it's bugging everyone else (not you), I'll shut up.

@waz: No, the last thing we want is for people to feel they can't talk about stuff. It hasn't been that bad, and if you're in more arguments I don't really notice.
It isn't an argument. It's a debate about something silly. I just happen to want to express myself.

If I were to peg my problem with humanizations, it would be that I have trouble rationalizing them past "I would like to draw these characters in a way that is sexually attractive." Of course, I know that that isn't the case for a lot of them, but the fact that the majority of them are quite attractive actually creeps me out, regardless of the artist's intent.
@Lurker: Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

I think the case for a lot of the humanizations is simply "I wonder what this character would look like as a human". Although I'm sure there are a few cases of "I find this character's personality attractive, but I'm not attracted to ponies" as well.
Those Shining Armor call Cadence Cady? Because that would be adorable.
@JT: Pronounced more like 'Cadey'.
You know,
technically, the image for the
Double Standard page is
not an actual example of a true Double Standard either, but the explanation for why that is is boring and technical, so I won't go into it. Continue with the ponies and all that.
