I've never taken a look at anything outside of the official MLP stuff. Haven't even finished season 2 yet, actually.

When you get time, you should have a look at at least Fallout Equestria. In my opinion, which is thus strictly subjective, it is the best single-volume book I have read in years. It has some faults, which are at times exhaustively aired on the thread for the work on Fanfiction,

Though the spinoff stuff, nearly everyone praises Project Horizons but, GAH! no, no and hell no. between Golden Sue being retconed into the backstory and made to be the ultimate force behind everything, he planned everything and nearly everything the Mane 6 and the princesses did was only because of him, all while banging Fluttershy. Gore Gore and more gore, way way WAY darker then FOE, which was about as dark as I can stand an MLP work and take it seriously.

Once you got on screen torture and gang rape of a mane character, yeah there's no salvaging that into something I'd want to read.

And still you talk about Project Horizons like it's all about Goldenblood.

Usually it is a bad idea to drop TV Tropes references in real life. I tried it many times. I've yet to see one person who get it and it had cost me an essay.

I was figuring they might even know Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged.

Damn, I just recently got into that and I got hooked and started watching the actual show.

In middle school, I hung around a group that was just as well versed in memes as I (some more, some less). My move to a charter school mostly killed my contact with them besides 2.

I don't think that's a dress, I think it's a skirt and top. Plus, I wasn't aware that there could be "kinds" of dresses besides describing what they look like...

But anyway, I do use memetic phrases in contexts that make sense if you don't get the reference just to see if there's anybody around with similar interests. It usually doesn't work.

All Goldenblood, no, but the simple fact that the author saw fit to have his precious OC retconed into being the single most importatnt pony in past Equestria, AND end up in a relationship with one of the Mane 6, doesn't matter how big a factor he is in the overall present day story, the fact that he would have the gall to do that is enough to turn me off. Plus the aforementioned torture and gangrape of the main character.

FOE AWESOME, PH, if you can stand the Mary Sue and the gore, seems to be decent. And agreeing with Story HPATMOR IS awesome, was the first actual fanfic I ever read, did not disappoint. Though need to catch up on it, haven't read any updates in awhile.
