Or you mean the thread that got deleted? I can just tell you what I did. I posted the image from this page under the file name EXTREMELY_HANDSOME_TROLL, namefagged as carcinoGeneticist, and typed HEY ASSHOLES, STOP WATCHING CARTOONS FOR GIRLS.

And this was in the /rp/ board, so I would have expected someone to get the joke...

Maybe I should have figured out it was unwise since I got half a thread to get butthurt when I posted my comic of Rarity saying nigger instead of mule.

Joking or not, that would seem like trolling to anyone.

Yeah but a large amount of MLP fans and Homestuck fans go on /co/. There's a significant amount of overlap, so you think someone would get it.

Well, what can you do? Can't expect everyone to take a joke like that in good humor, after all.

I tried to like Homestuck. I tried my very hardest to read it. I wanted to like Homestuck.

But I just couldn't. I looked at, thought "this is odd", tried to get into it, but was smothered in lameness.

Does it get better later on or something? Why is it just so popular?

Because it appeals to some people? I liked it all well enough, although I mostly stay away from the fandom. It's a niche appeal, but it's honestly not that hard to understand. Some people like soap operas, some people don't. Same principle. Some people like the sci-fi elements and old fashioned executions in characters, and off beat humor, others don't.

If anything, I feel like the majority of the beginning was just running off of old jokes from Problem Sleuth, with nothing important happening. For a newcomer, that's quite hard to slog through. It also makes rereading the whole thing from the beginning quite the chore.

But enough about trolls, let's talk about ponies! New episode tomorrow! Excited?

What do ya think it's going to be like? I hope it has a song. All the best episodes have one. And all of the best episodes don't have one. Really, every episode has been great.

Good writing (or at the very least not-shitty writing) tends to do that.

I also like the Cutie Mark Crusaders when they aren't the Cutie Mark Crusaders. On their own, they're pretty fantastic characters. But when the start crusadin', Death starts hatin'.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Cherilee.

Nope.

I have that problem as well.

It took me ages to decide that pinkie Pie was my favorite character... and yet I keep loving the other characters just as much.

THEY ARE ALL MY FAVORITE CHARACTER!

I thought I would totally detest Rarity and Pinkie Pie, but Pinkie won me over with her...well, the fact that she was random, and yet there's a method to her madness. She isn't overly annoying, and it helps that everyone else has about the same reactions as she does.

As for Rarity, she was probably the lowest on my chart until I saw Suited for Success. And Diamond Dogs, oh god Diamond Dogs. "But I thought you waaaaaaaanted whiiining!"

My list would probably be something like

1. Rainbow Dash/Fluttershy
2. Pinkie Pie/Rarity
3. Twilight Sparkle/Applejack

...Looking at it now, I can tell it's not right. It should be more like

1. Rainbow Dash/Fluttershy/Pinkie Pie/Applejack/Twilight/Rarity

Because really, I can't decide.

I suppose Rainbow Dash as my definite favorite, and then everyone else on the same exact level. Because they're all awesome, but Dash is just 20% cooler.

I have the same problem. Twilight and Pinkie and Rainbow and Fluttershy are all my favorite!

I expected Rarity to be the pony I never paid attention to.

She is hands down my favorite.

I suppose it helps that she cares for her friends as much as she cares for herself. Most of the "fashion" characters in these shows only care about their own self image, but Rarity wants all her friends to be as fabulous as she is.

She's also rather cunning, resourceful, and hard working. So, you know, there's that.

It's nice, really. All the characters have their good traits and their flaws. Both are apparent, and one doesn't overtake the other.

Also also, her voice is fantastic.
