I loved the episode. Saw it in low definition, but I'm probably going to rewatch it in HD when it's up.

That fight scene was awesome beyond belief.

EDIT: Thinking about it, perhaps I should spoiler that too, just to be on the safe side.

I liked it overall. The villain was kinda stock, to be honest. But as expressed above, that fight scene was fantastic. It was like a promo for Fighting Is Magic. Also, Lyra now has a voice, and Celestia is Worf.

Yeah, the villain was rather forgettable, especially if compared with Discord (why did not use him again instead?). And the way in which she was defeated felt a bit too contrived — I mean, I get that The Power of Love is physics as far as Equestria is concerned, but still...

But these are details. The episode was really, really enjoyable. One of the parts I liked the most was were Applejack put her hat back on during the ceremony. Classic Applejack

Greatly done. I specially liked the handling of the new princess. Seeing as she is the third Alicorn, it had the potential to be a huge screwup. But she was nicely developed, and I actually found myself liking her.

Also, twilight's brother is badass. Specially if you remember how in unicorns their magic is supposed to be connected to their special talents, and he farts out gigantic city wide forcefields.

I actually thought that the villain was really well done; I thought it was a nice touch that she actually had a plan going in rather than just sort of flying by the seat of her pants. Discord was awesome and really entertaining, but I think the Changeling Queen had a more interesting plan of attack.

Well, by his own nature Discord is unable to have an actual plan, being the personification of chaos and all that.

The changeling queen is a more credible threat. Powerful AND cunning. And at her best able to hand Celestia's plot back to her. How cool is that?

Maybe they have some sort of equivalents - something worn on wings for pegasus and bracelets for earth ponies, symbolising their qualities?
