Women can attempt to be masculine and accept a masculine role. As long as that is seen as a liberation or an empowerment of the woman, the typical "male" role is still more desirable than the typical "female" role. A woman is only liberated if she denies the feminine role society pins on females and accepts the masculine role society pins on males.

My Little Portal/Pony Fortress 2 seem to be the most common as far as I know. Speaking of which, wasn't there a My Little Portal series due to be released earlier last month?

I should just note that just disinterest in m/m stories =/= feeling threatened by them. I have no doubt that's the case a lot of the time, but it's also entirely possible that straight males just aren't interested in stories with that subject matter.

I feel like I should mention Turnabout Storm just on general principle, even though I haven't seen it and am not familiar with the Phoenix Wright games.

I've seen a couple videos of Turnabout Storm on youtube. Good stuff, though I've never played any Phoenix Wright, or any Visual Novels, really.

I've played through the first Phoenix Wright game, and I loved it.

I have yet to see Turnabout Storm.

I don't like most crossovers, because just like HIE stories, people tend to upvote them simply because "OMG I LOVE PONIES AND I LOVE X MEN PUT THEM TOGETHER", regardless of the fic's quality.

I can vouch for Turnabout Storm for being well written. I am waiting for the rewrite of TTEOAP To finish before I read HIE stories.

I still wait for crossover with some Sci Fi series with space fighters.

Yeah, readers of both Human and Crossover stories tend to just think "THIS PREMISE IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR MY WHOLE LIFE" and the story gets lots of stars.

I don't like this.

Eh, I've never really been into the whole "Oh, look at this, it's a character from [blank] in real life!" sort of thing. I just find it poorly made, most of the time.

Maybe My Little Dashie is better, I don't know. Maybe I'll read it later on.

It's one of the biggest Hype Backlashes in the fandom. Lots of people LOVE it, and a lot of people think it's very overrated.
