Yeah, it's a touch longer than War and Peace, but it never really feels boring.
I just cannot get into
Fallout Equestria. It's probably because I never played the games to begin with (well, I played a little of Fallout 2, but I got bored quickly) so I'm probably missing a lot of references.
But they seem to
know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
There was a pretty good MLP
Groundhog Day crossover, if I remember correctly. With
Blueblood as the protagonist, of all things.

Re: Through the Eyes of Another Pony: I just figured out something about that...
I haven't read
The Dresden Files, but I've been meaning to - I just can't find the first book anywhere. What's it called again? Despite this, I read The Dresden Fillies. It is good.
"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "
First book is Storm Front. And I started reading it precisely because one of the pony crossovers got me hooked.
Yeah I don't think I will be able to get into fallout equestria from the synopsis it seems a little too grimdark for my tastes.

I want to read it because of that
and one of my brothers reads the series (in fact, I recommended
Forever! to him, and that's how he discovered ponyfic.)

Not even going to try it. It's not my style.

The main reason FE doesn't appeal to me is because I'm not a big fan of grimdark ponies in general. The show is one of the few straight up optimistic and happy shows out there, so transplanting it into a bleaker setting takes a lot of the appeal out of it.
I should really get around to reading FE
at some ponit in my sad, sorry existence.
I just can't find the time. Too many projects going at once.
