...huh. This one didn't feel as strong as usual. Felt really rushed — and not in a good frantic way, but in a 90's Spiderman "we forgot you only get 22 minutes instead of all 30 when we wrote it so we cut out all non-dialogue shots and tried to 10% it to cover our asses" way.

I do enjoy the implication that Twilight having a meltdown was apparently so commonplace when she lived in Canterlot that the archive guards and Celestia don't bat an eye when she breaks in wearing a stealth suit and looking like she got on the wrong end of a Mad Max movie.

I guess I feel like if they cut one of the "omens" or some of the Ponyville Defcon sequence, they would've had time to spread out the rest of it and take things at a more sensible pace for presentation. As it is, it felt like we were driving so fast we missed the sights.

Yeah, the rushed pace of this episode was definitely its weakest point. The way everypony just sort of automatically took Twilight at her word without being noticeably surprised about her sudden claim that her future self had spoken to her felt pretty awkward.

Imagine Dash is on a flat surface with concentric circles around the middle. She starts somewhere that isn't on a circle, then flies in some direction. You get the distance it takes her to go through circles three times, and have to predict how much further the fourth one is.

Oh, and apparently we got a bingo if you count this episode as a Trollestia.

It's not whether or not she knows, it's that she gives no fucks whatsoever.

Twilight is in a locked-up portion of the library that has the most powerful spells, wearing a ninja suit and slashed up to shit, with an eye patch and a bedraggled look...And all Trollestia says is "Well, have a nice Tuesday"?

Whether she knew quite what was going on or not, that was some supreme trolling.

I liked the episode, though it wasn't quite as good as I expected. It's definitely above average to me, though.

It could have used a bit more oomph on the animation side, to be honest. I loved the voice performances, but after "A Friend in Deed", this episode felt visually dull with little to no... wacky animation.

I know, but I thought that line was funny because of how literally she meant it. If she non toy balls stashed around town that'd just be weird.

Edit: Madame Pinkie Pie is awesome. That and the line about balls were probably my favorite parts of the episode.
