I just read Trixie's Funhouse.
Oh sure, it starts as an innocent, little (obviously) trollfic. So Bad, It's Good, you know?
Then...stuff...happens.
What the hell, Author?!
The twist at the end got a chuckle out of me.

Give the world the best you have and you will get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.
It was called Trixie's Funhouse.
I'm surprised that you were surprised.

Trixie's Funhouse? Okay so without telling me anything, I'm going to try to guess the general idea of what that is about.

This is true, but I only just heard about it recently.
An actual review says, and I quote: "Please write more. Not because of the story, mind you, but because you are a good writer."
What?

Okay, I have to know: What happens in "Trixe's funhouse"?
I'm glad you asked! :D
Think
Sweet Apple Massacre, but with Trixie as the "antagonist."
Really, it's not much different.
Well, the Cutie Mark Crusaders are
way less in-character.
The author apparently
really doesn't like Sweetie Belle. Not becasue of what happens to her in the story, per se, but the way she's characterized. It was like they took the Sweetabuse meme and took it up to 11.

Yes, for its nature, Rainbow Factory was fairly decent writing.
Sweet Apple Massacre was sick, but poorly written. I recently read Pattycakes 1 & 2, and Grand Ponyville Picnic (don't read that one, ) and the worst... which I really shouldn't have opened... Fluttershy the Necrofillyphile.
I really need one of those flashy things from MIB.
TimewarpVortex - Role-Play Without Mercy
Rainbow Factory, eh? *reads trope page*
It shall be read!
I'm so excited, I'm using Royal Canterlot Voice!

I hate torture porn, and when it is applied to mlp fim?
BLEAH.

Yeah, me too. I just do not see the point. Blah blah blah, dismemberment, blah blah, and it was very painful, blah blah, nails in uncomfortable places, blah. The problem is not just that it evokes feelings of disgust, it's that it evokes feelings of disgust and boredom.
But they seem to
know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.

I read Cupcakes in its entirety. I mostly skim through the torture and dismemeberment stuff now.
After reading Trixie's Funhouse, I was more upset at the character derailment, and the fact that Trixie, at one point, used a
phone!

Well, the technology level of MLP is all over the place anyway. Didn't Iron Will use a microphone?

There was an arcade cabinet, wasn't there?

@ Carciofus - I didn't see that episode yet. It doesn't exist to me.

I asked the image macro thread for a good "This conversation needs to be changed" macro, and got this.
It works very well.

Moon Diary
is very good. Very tragic, but very good.

That's what they want you to think.
I too once thought as you did. But my eyes were opened by the ponies.
