The drama comes and goes. Although part of the reason I come over here is because it does get tiring after a while.

Some Pony fanfic is really really good. Fallout Equestria is my favorite so far.

I want to read Fallout: Equestria, but I do find its length and all the grimdark stuff a bit of a deterrent in actually getting started.

One of the many things I like about F:E is that while it get's pretty dark at times, there's always a glimmer of hope that somewhat lessons the darkness. Plus, it's the only fic with an OC as the protagonist that I've ever liked so far.
I'm reading one Skyrim/pony fic that's very well done. I think it's called the Wind Thief?

Awww...that was so very sweet and sad.
I love fics that go into that and don't have Celestia portrayed as a tyrant or a cold bitch who exiled her poor helpless woobie sister (bleugh).
The show doesn't go into how that big confrontation happened, but I know that it must've been the hardest, most heart-breaking thing for Celestia to do, and I always appreciate it when fics acknowledge that.

Yeah, Between sisters is a pretty good fic. I'm going to ask a brony friend of mine to look it up, just so that it has at least one more fan. It's a shame that EQD is so damn precise on how long a fic should be......
Yeah, it's unfortunate that I couldn't get it up there. I considered writing another letter from Nightmare Moon's point of view and submitting them as one story to get it over the word limit, but I have so much other stuff to work on that I have no idea when I'd do it.

Progress is my fav so far, mainly because it is so much fun.

It was heartrending, but I was able to survive without crying. It did make me cry on the inside, I admit, but I've experienced many tearful farewells in the past, so the effect was diminished somewhat.

There's nothing wrong with the fanbase as such, just it's disconcerting having a fan base so massive appear suddenly over night.
I can't help wondering if the pod people have made the switch yet...
