Sometimes, reading MLP fanfics scares me.

And I didn't even read the whole thing.

It still hasn't dissuaded me from writing my darkfic, though.

Sometime, mlp fanfics scare me too {Way too many "Human ends up in ponyvile" storys for one thing}. But then I find some fanfics that are really good, and they tend to outnumber the bad IMO.

I've read a couple "Human ends up in Ponyville" fics. I'm not a fan.

I just read a TwiPie fic that, frankly, blew me away by how good it was.

Then I read a fic where poor Rainbow Dash...I'd rather not get into it. It was more like SAM than Cupcakes. And one of the "perpetrators" was named 'Tank' (a stallion, not the tortise), which was pretty jarring.

is a brief story about Celestia's relationship with her sister (that miraculously didn't get torn to shreds by Season 2), and this

is a Mega Crossover with Mahou Sensei Negima! and several other series.

Yeah that was pretty darn tame compared to the classic ponythread simulators. They were better organized too. A slow, carefully controlled descent from silly and innocent, into uncanny and creepy, and then straight into screaming perverted terror.

Electrical Beast should totally write an MLP fan fic.

You'd have no idea what the hell was going on, but it would be awesome!

Oh my god yes.

While being hilariously bad, Slowbeef and Diabeetus both said that they were disappointed that he never finished it.

Actually he did! He finally did Bowser in the Sky, like, months after #119.

But then I find some fanfics that are really good, and they tend to outnumber the bad IMO.

Not remotely, but EQD is really good about filtering most of the crap so you don't see it.

At the time I sent it in it was around 1000-1500 words minimum; now it's 2500+ minimum for a oneshot. Between Sisters was right around 1000 words on the first draft; originally it was just the letter itself. After I added the bit at the end where she actually sends it, it was right at 1500. So yeah, as of now it's way too short to submit. I considered writing a companion piece from Nightmare Moon's part of view and submitting them both as one story, but I never got around to it.

I'm doing something like that with one of my one-shots. (Missive to Princess Celestia, if you're interested) I wrote the first one from my OC's point of view and now I'm writing one from the Mane 6's.

I don't know if I'll ever submit anything to EQD. Maybe if my stuff gets popular enough.
