Okay, that scene with Rainbow Dash and the mallet makes it all worth it. XD
Yes, Rarity! Finally! Also another point about how stupid the canterlot ponies are. Twilight Sparkle not only used to live there, but she is also Princess Celestia's student! Captain Picard, I need you!

Yeah, the "mane 6 are not notable in Canterlot" thing was stupid, but other than that this was a pretty damn good episode, IMO. About on the same level as "Luna Eclipsed".
May I state once again that Hayseed Turniptruck is awesome?
Okay thank god that episode is over. I can not stand the Canterlot ponies that have spoken so far (aside from Twilight, Celestia, Luna, and Fancypants). It was a decent episode, but my god those ponies pissed me off. And it usually takes
a lot for me to hate fictional characters. Anyway, onto the positives. Fancypants, I hope to see him somewhere again in the future. I'm actually hoping this episode is introducing him, to set up a reveal where it turns out he's actually a villain.

Answering "Who is this Rainbow Dash?" with "She's the Wonderbolt's Trainer!" was just stupid, since she could have said "She's the one who made that Sonic Rainboom last year!"
This was Rarity's best episode. I LIKE IT VERY MUCH
So the ponies in Canterlot wear clothes, and Twilight's
simple dress almost ruined Rarity's reputation. Most ponies in Ponyville don't... except Rarity's parents.
Thus I posit that nudity is lower class.

Who says she's rich? She could be a "charmingly rustic" beauty.

@Kerrah: Fancy Pants seems a little old for Rarity. Seems like he'd be more of a mentor like figure.

But if he is her love interest, that would make all the more awesome if he did turn out to be a villain.
Oh my god, the next episode is an episode about Spike giving himself a growth spurt. Hell. Yeah.

Sorry to go off-topic, but I'm going to start calling Luna/Nightmare Moon "Drew" due to the epic failure of Youtube's auto-captions. Any other caption-fails to share?
Back in Black, and by black I mean BLU.
I personally think the auto-caption thing got old months ago, but I hope you have fun with it.
@Kerrah: Well I know if
I were upper class, I'd wear a tailcoat and go around with a nude female companion.
@Gex: "Drew" is a terrible name for the best princess.
Anyway, auto-caption dubbed Rarity's father "Doctor Fantastic."

Even though his name is very obviously Magnum.

Magnum Pie.

Really Obvious Alert: Rarity is adorable.
"...Then Lady Gaga stripped Tavros of his virginity."
Who's this douchebag?
On Rarity and Fancy Pants: I don't think there will be love interests in this show. Romance would bore the primary demographic. Plus he may just be a one-shot character: it's not like they're in Canterlot often.

Does anyone else feel a bit bad for Rarity during her song? She's so willing to work herself to the bone just to impress a bunch of ponies she doesn't even know.

"A bunch of ponies she doesn't even know" are potential friends who like the things she likes. Remember how little she enjoyed the party with her
best friends? She may love them, but to her their interests are mostly uncouth.
It's true that a lot of those upper class potential friends were in truth shallow jerks, but gaining a friend like Fancy Pants made working herself so hard worth it to her.

@Rott: If there is going to be romance on the show, it will only be a one-episode thing, and will exist only to tell a "Friendship > Romance" aesop.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness."
Rarity: Animal Abuser.
That was quite a fun episode.
Also, brief Octavia appearance. -squee-

People only say "I'm sure it was nothing" when they're sure it was something.
Speaking of the new episode, did anyone see any pony's from previous episodes? There's ovibously Octavia since she got an up-close Cameo, and I saw blueblood and the rich pony that rainbow dash threw in the air in the gala episode. And someone in the comment's said he saw photo finish.
