I realize that a lot of the fanworks involving Luna have been around since before Nightmare Night and Woona was the most logical approach by then, but I wish more of the recent ones would write Ridiculously Bombastic Luna. She's just so damn much more fun

And has better things to do than drown in cookie-cutter angst.

I cannot confirm or deny if I'm working on a fic that may or may not include bombastic Luna. In other words:

I don't always write MLP fanfic, but when I do, I use Bombastic Cannon-Luna.

Yeah, Rarity and her friends had a damn thank-you party held in the castle. She could have brought that up any time to amaze the nobles, but she didn't, because the slice-of-life episodes and season-premieres are starting to drift into entirely different shows.

I'm starting to think that this takes place before the second season timeline and possibly the first season finale. Given how Rarity is still glowingly talking about the glamor and funhappytime of the Grand Galloping Gala, as well as the fact that we don't see her glaring at Prince Blueblood when he appears, I suspect that the Mane 6 are still relatively obscure to the Canterlot upper society.

This is all conjecture, but it makes sense to me.
