I thought a brony was just a fan of the show outside the intended demographic.

(By this reckoning, I guess I'm not a brony either; I don't even keep track of all the memes.)

The defenition of Brony is starting to be as vague as the defenition of furry.

And despite similarities, both furiously mock and deny being anything like the other.

Not all of us mock furries.

I don't have a problem with furries who aren't dicks about it. I find it kind of amusing that nobody even pretends to love and tolerate them, though.

True, Canterlot, not just Blueblood, seems like the stuck up, snobby place. ("Young lady! This isn't that kind of party!")

(Well, atleast the "higher society" there. Twilight did used to live in Canterlot, and she isn't a stuck up snobbish McSnobbypants and even apparent class mates in the very beginning of the pilot episodes seemed no different from normal college student, asking Twilight if she likes to go to a party pretty casually.)

Being surrounded by people who do not act much differently from a thousand years of "high calss traditions" before and might even admire Luna's TRADITINOAL ROYAL CAPSLOCK wouldn't help her adjust to the modern age very well.

The reason Rarity wasn't in this episode is because she made everyone's costumes and took the night off to rest.

Tidal, that's exactly what I was guessing.

If we ignore the whole removed scene info, of course.

Props to this guy for a 3D pony that actually looks right and doesn't make me want to curl up in a corner and die.
