@Drenius: Well, they've killed Tirac before, and they're constantly threatened by major villains every time in Dream Valley and Paradise Estate, so the g1 ponies can overlook a little Lethal Self Defense (against slaver).
Also, the gems they were using as prosthetic eyes appear to have magical properties. Do not use normal crystals for prosthetic eyes with consulting an optics engineer (unless you're using a crystalline CMOS process optic array that is welded directly where your retina used to be.)
