I think what happened was they wrote in the word "yacht" as a rhyme in the song, and only later they went "Oh shoot, Equestria's a landlocked nation, isn't it? How can we make the yacht work?"

When I think about some of the Darker and Edgier Fan Fiction of MLP: FIM out there, I have to take my hat off to those who actually dared to make something different and actually good, like Story of the Blanks.

You know what would be interesting to see?

A ponified version of Splatterhouse. You can have Rainbow Dash as Rick, and Fluttershy as Jennifer. If you're wondering why RD doesn't just zoom through the thing, it could set up so that RD's wings have been damaged in the scuffle that resulted in Fluttershy being snatched.
A ponified version of Sweet Home. Maybe you've never heard of this one, but it involves a group of people going into a haunted mansion, and they are fighting for dear life against monsters, ghosts, and hazards. The fact that a child was accidently cremated alive in this game would bring up eerie comparisons to Story of the Blanks.

Well, we did see that security guard in Read it and Weep, and the Royal Guards certainly seem to serve law enforcement functions in Canterlot.
