@CDRW: Everything Sounds Sexier in French. Even if the language caused me considerable grief for a term as it was the first subject I ever failed. (Seriously, how unintuitive is Romance grammer?)

On crystal ponies they're mentioned in one of the songs and need saving. We also know a bit about their history.

We don't know that many dragons. Basil was sleepy, Spike's cool, Crackle just sits there and the adult dragons in Dragon Quest don't appear to be jerks.

Sea Ponies. I suspect if they do make an appearance it will be nothing the fandom would ever think of (Like the last several times a new race is introduced). My other theory is they won't use them.
