Monster X is a real pain. I always spammed a maxed-out Blade at the missile swarms, and it also works well against the roach creatures.

Strategy: try to kill off the roaches before the boss battle begins in earnest.

I can only imagine how angry Fluttershy would be with the Doctor for his abuse of the Red Flowers and the mistreatment of the Mimiga.

Anyways I that Cadence will need to fight something to reclaim her birthright to the crown of the Crystal Kingdom.

Actually, it would be interesting if they didn't need to fight anything. Let's have it end with them talking it out and reconciling (If that's where they're going with it).

@Ace Oh the roaches aren't the problem. The problem is that in Hard Mode, you have 3 HP. Period. That means if you get hit once by any of the billion projectiles that boss sends at you, it's game over. Blade is indeed the way to go, though, you just have to not spam it, otherwise it'll be stuck in its long animation at just the wrong moment and you won't be able to defend yourself.

I have no idea what I'm going to do if I ever make it to the Core, though...

Yeah, I saw some videos of the new Eversion once. It's got double resolution, background art, different music for layer 8, and a secret joke ending, I believe. I'm one of those who thinks the original graphics worked better, not just in resembling an actual 8-bit game, but in letting your imagination run wild about what sort of theme the new color indicates, rather than "Now the clouds're hangin' on strings, and now the strings are broken, and now the hills have eyes, durr hurrp!"

Okay, so, did I miss something? What, exactly, do we know about the Crystal Ponies?

It's going to be great once the new season starts again. Remember how it used to be? We'd watch the episode, have pages and pages of talk...then talk would turn to the next one coming up. Lots of speculation...and sometimes there was a preview clip.

Only difference now is...no ginger rage over pinkie pie. To me, that's more a good thing than a bad thing.

@Gex Fluttershy dragon episode, I believe. What's that about another sapient species, though?

Yeah, I wasn't around to see much of Ginger. Is there an example of his legendary rage?

Femdragon? They really shouldn't go counting their Flutterdragons before they hatch. Or other sapient races. I don't think there was any indication that the crystal ponies were a different race.

@42: All we have is a song, and some info from the toyline which I don't think will necessarily be reflected in the actual episode.

@Apple: Such is the nature of the beast. It'll get better, and we're not really doing that badly now.

Guess I'll just have to step up my own grumbling about Pinkie to compensate.

@CD: Would Flutterdragon be afraid of herself? What should she even learn? I'm not sure "Dragons aren't that bad" is that great, because they're pretty bad.
