Is that possible? I mean, she can be more spotlighted, but I don't see how she can be more developed in that manner (though granted a lot of writers place them as being the same, some even place taking away all a character's flaws as "development").

Well, I have two opinions on the show's plot holes and flat characters: my 'desired result' opinion and my 'realistic result' opinion.

My DR opinion on Celestia is that she should gain more traits, mostly original, but some that've been speculated upon in the past. She should also take more action against threats and show her true power.

My RR opinion is that Celestia should stay perfect and above-it-all, since the show is basically there to market toys to little girls, and the more realistic Celestia is, then the less perfect she seems, and the less that little girls want to buy her big, expensive toy.

Yep. I think the Star Wars universe has a bulk discount on bioinc arm replacements.

I suppose in a compromise Celestia could gain flaws, but in the very subtle comical sense that has been hinted to previously, eg. her cake obsession.

I kinda like the idea of an episode where everyone expects to treat Celestia with dignity and refinement, and she actually acts rather crude or quirky. I kinda get the idea this might be what Cadence is for though, especially after seeing her dancing around with Pinkie.

I did have this idea as a conclusion to the series that the whole Friendship Report thing was actually a way for Celestia to gain friends and become closer to her civilians. Maybe another step up in how the reports are made will be approached this season.
