Actually, I'd like to see a what-if episode where the Rainboom didn't happen and their paths diverged from there. Meanwhile, a different 6 ponies end up with the elements of harmony and end up saving the world from Nightmare Moon.

Of course, I would put it together so that they still find happiness anyway, even if they never met and became friends.

Indeed!

I think I like pinkie so much because she's actually what I would like to be...more able to see the bright side of life. Because I'm a bit of a grumpy, surly and short tempered guy in real life.

@Apple: I guess the message would end up being: "Maybe your life would have been different if one thing had happened another way, but you can still make the best of the hands you've been dealt."

Not sure how well that works, since the next episode would return to the current continuity. But still, a 'what-if' is an interesting concept.
