Wow, I sure am getting a lot of double posts. Where did everyone go?

We need a pre-season three ilovebees thing for fun.
and makes sense due to the semantic meaning of $this
It doesn't make any sense at global scope. And why can't you use it like an ordinary variable anyway? Anyway, like most things in PHP, it's not an insurmountable obstacle, but it does cause completely unnecessary effort and confusion.

On further thought, I guess it makes sense to have this as a keyword if it's an implicit variable. I think explicit passing is a better paradigm, but I can't fault PHP too much in this case. But the behavior of == is still completely indefensible.

@Gex: Like, leave on a business vacation or leave leave?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
== vs === is rather silly, yeah. I can't see it being rage-inducing, though.
*knows nothing about programming*
I dont really get the difference between == and === dont they do the same thing technically?
I didn't learn that kind of stuff, all I know is old HTML and tinkering with INI files.
I hope Cadence is only in the opening episodes and not the whole season. As much as I like her, she is a really obvious toy advertisement. I would rather see more about the mane 6 than the adventures of Princess Cadence and friends.

In PHP, == causes bugs, and that's it. There's no good reason to ever use it, but since it's a simple built in operator and looks similar to other lanagues, people use it all the time anyway, so it's basically a gratuitous landmine. And like most things in PHP, it will appear to work most of the time, but then cause bugs when you leaast expect it.

@Turtle The whole show is an obvious toy advertisement, mane 6 included. The difference here is that these advertisements are also great characters.
Most of the time it isn't as obvious though.

G'night Apple. Hope you read that Chrysalis fic I pointed out :D
Oh well, as much fun as arguing is, I guess I should just let it go.
