Well PHP is ok if all you want to do is generate some html, but it's horrible for actual programming.

Um, guys? Can someone answer my question please?
What question?

What page that Baby Cakes aired on when you all were watching and commenting and crap.
Tick Tock, goes the clock/ He cradled and he rocked her/ Tick Tock, goes the clock/Till River kills the Doctor.
Everything he does is Web based. If I learn something its probably going to be for just web based stuff as well. I have like zero ambition to do actual coding, I just want to maybe make my website pretty if I ever get my home business off the ground.
Well it's hard to get that just from a keyword search. I think the best option is to look up the air date and then jut look for that page.

self policing can keep the nastier things that it will let you do that you shouldn't be doing from happening.
I've worked with a much more knowledgeable programmer than me, and even his PHP code had bugs, bugs that wouldn't happen in any decent language. And this was with a framework and security patches.
As for web development, I've heard Ruby is good though I haven't tried it. Other possibilities are Node.js and Django.

meaning that its simply easier to use with, port to and from, and reconcile with most other popular programming languages. I hardly even had to learn anything to use it effectively
Only for really simple stuff. Try writing a loop that takes a callback which binds $this and you'll quickly see how much of a pain PHP is.

Evening everypony. What's going on?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.
We're arguing about PHP.

@Story Why would you even want to do that in the first place? Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "binding" $this.
What I mean is creating an anonymous function that has acess to $this. Trivial in other languages (that support closures), but PHP arbitrarily forces you to copy $this to some other variable before you can do this.
Also, the total word count up to page 9735 is 6079668.

Ok so... you saw "Cadence" without the enhancements at first? I can barely see it with the enhancements!
I can't see it with the enhancements at all.

Its sort of under the No... I think... if Im seeing it right
I can't see it without the enhancements, but with them it's pretty easy to see.

Hi Fallen.

I've started going through the thread from page one, and recording what page every episode first aired on.
currently on page 66
There was no real discussion until Feeling Pinkie Keen. In fact, you'll probably have trouble with most of season 1.
