@Gex Celestia walking in on Luna wearing a slutty bridle and looking at herself in the mirror?

Luna: "Don't look at me! Close the door! Close the door!"

If I don't see it, then it functionally does not exist in my world, therefore it is harmless. tongue

I have a low tolerance for all R34. If a piece is drawn so badly I can't even recognise it, then that's a plus.

Well, see, even if it's normal vanilla r34 stuff, if it's badly drawn, it will piss me off to no end. Heck, normal things will, but anything with a sexualized hint will always get me annoyed, because it takes skill to draw things like that, and people should not just jump into something like that, dammit.

I do not tolerate R34 of any kind, but I can't stop people from uploading it anyway, so it's kind of a moot point.

I'll just take the "love" part and forget the "tolerate" thank you very much.
Are you a bad enough dude to argue with waz? (your chances are better than you think, anyone can "win" if they use enough fallacies)

It's mere existence is harmless, so there's no reason not to tolerate it, IMO. Just don't look at it. If people force/trick you into seeing it, though, that's a problem (and will almost always get those people promptly banned from wherever they're posting).

[up]Speaking of forcing it on people, think you could stop that?

What on Earth is "human paradox" supposed to mean?

[up][up][up]That's arguable. But regardless, how exactly do you not tolerate something anyway? How is the way I'm acting now "non-tolerance"?

You actively act against it. For example, breaking the forum rules is not tolerated, so the mods thump/ban those who break them. Speaking out against something's existence is a mild form of intolerance.

Personally attack it, refuse to let anyone mentioning it pass, i.e.

"Oh, I drew Rarity X Rainbow Dash!"

"That is a horrible ship. Why would you draw that?" <— if that's a serious post.

Forget it. Rationalize away.

[down] Internet = everything is subjective

Real life = everything is objective

This always falls on deaf ears it seems.

[up]Uhh was it something we said? No one's calling you out for not liking R34, I don't see a reason to be mad.

I like art in general, especially well drawn art. Even Clop that is well drawn is interesting to me despite the subject. Badly drawn ANYTHING should be burnt (this inclues most of what I draw).

That Applejack and Link picture would be so much better if AJ's face didnt look so weird sad

Objectivity and subjectivity are not that simple, and have nothing to do with what we were even talking about.

We were simply discussing the definition of tolerance, and whether or not the existence of pornography is harmful if you choose to ignore it.

I've been considering making a sketch-a-day tumblr in order to learn how to draw.

@Lurker: Yes they are. Here, do you want an example? Let's look at that horrible ship thing.

If both parties agreed on what the definition of "horrible ship" is, they would not have any problems talking about it. However, any disagreement is because they personally have an idea in their mind about what a "horrible ship" is, and they don't coincide. This is not subjective. They both have a definition of "horrible ship" that is objective to them. Like I said, everything is objective.

I would love to learn to draw. Being "forced" to would probably be the only way I could, considering the time investment involved. I just don't want to give up my other hobbies in order to get better at art.

[up][up]"Objective to them" is an oxymoron. If it isn't a fact, it's subjective. There can be facts on the internet, and opinions in real life.

Pornographic drawings are normal and natural as far as Im concerned. Whether you like them or not its all up to you and its cool if you like or not like.

Im pretty sure that pornographic drawing has been around as long as drawing itself. Im pretty sure Ive seen cave paintings of things with giant wing-wangs. Its human nature to sexualize stuff I think.
